Construction of a new engine testing facility, designed for the new IL-2 and IL-10 piston engines. Preparation for mastering the repair of first generation jet fighters and their engines, including construction of a repair facility for Yak-23 and Mig-15 jet engines and various onboard units, as well as a new and improved testing facility. 1965-1980 The plant makes headway – 2nd generation fighter jets Large scale modernization, building and reconstruction of the plant in connection with the forthcoming mastering of Mig-21 fighter jet overhaul; Newly built jet engine testing facility in Krumovo air base.Completion of the mastering process for the overhaul of Mig-21 and its modifications. The plant gains increasing international recognition and becomes a trusted partner; New long-term contracts for overhaul of Mig-15, Mig-17 and Mig-21 fighters. 1980-1996 Sustainable growth – 3rd and 4th generation fighter jets Second large scale modernization, building and reconstruction of the plant in connection with the forthcoming mastering of Mig-23 fighter jet overhaul, including a new jet engine repair facility, reconstruction of the facility in Graf Ignatovo air base and further equipment of the testing facility in Krumovo air base.Completion of the mastering process for the overhaul of Mig-23 and its modifications. The plant becomes a leader in the overhaul of Mig-23 and its engines in Europe. Gradual mastering of the overhaul of Mig-29, Su-25 and Su-22 fighter jets.
